September 2002 - Jump-Start Your Meetings

On September 25, CVC members gathered to learn a variety of ice breakers and energizers to jump-start their meetings. Icebreakers are defined as "tools that enable the group leader to foster interaction, stimulate creative thinking, challenge basic assumptions, illustrate new concepts, and introduce specific material." (Encyclopedia of Icebreakers -- University Associates, 1983).

At this hands-on program, participants learned fun and innovative approaches that help put group participants at ease and add life to meetings. Get the program handouts [83k Word document] for suggestions of ice-breakers and tips on how to use them effectively.
