Boston Scientific Employees Volunteer During Annual Season of Giving Campaign!

By Jamie Yanisch

Boston Scientific’s Season of Giving campaign is a global initiative that gives employees the opportunity to demonstrate their caring value by giving back to our local communities. Minnesota employees participate in the campaign by sponsoring families from the Osseo and Mounds View School Districts, donating on Giving Tuesday and participating in volunteer events with their teams.

Boston Scientific also provides an onsite volunteer opportunity for employees who may not be able to get off campus to volunteer. With the help of HandsOn Twin Cities, employees from each of their three campuses volunteered to assemble winter themed Reading Buddies Packs to be donated to Children’s MN and Masonic Children’s Hospital.

After decorating a bookmark and a canvas backpack, volunteers brought a stuffed animal to life before completing the packs with winter themed books, socks, and window clings specially requested by the children’s hospitals. These Reading Buddies Packs will be passed out just in time for the holidays to spread cheer to the youth residents and provide not only a welcomed distraction, but also the empowering activity of reading and using their imaginations.
