CVC Holiday Event: The snow didn’t stop us from celebrating!

You know the old postal carrier saying,Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night...” right? Well, that could definitely apply to the guests who made it out on Wednesday, November 28, to Cooper’s at West End for the 2018 CVC-TC Holiday Celebration!

Members weren’t going to let a few snowflakes and congested roads stop them from making it to the year-end party. Although, I wish we had a snapshot of everyone’s face when they finally walked in that night! People sure looked excited to have made it, thirsty and hungry! While we know that a handful of guests couldn’t make it that night due to the weather, we are grateful for those who did show up to network and have some fun. No one was overly anxious to get back on those slick roads!

The annual holiday celebration is always a terrific time to catch up with old friends, new members and community partners. I heard conversations about upcoming travels, holiday plans with family and friends, brainstorming new volunteer projects and troubleshooting a few of the challenges of our jobs. The Twin Cities community is so fortunate to have such a robust and engaging CVC-TC network to tap in to year-round. Let’s continue to celebrate this exciting year and set our sights on 2019.

Special thanks to our CVC-TC Program Committee who had a remarkable program year in 2018 and made sure we capped it off with some merriment, laughs, and tasty treats! Nicely done team!

See you all at the next program!
