People Serving People is looking to invite a small amount volunteers into the building to assist with meal deliveries on a reoccurring basis. It will be different than our usual meal service volunteering opportunity. Meal delivery will consist of staff and volunteer teams of 3 to 4 people delivering meals to guest rooms.
There will be certain safety precautions in place to ensure that we prioritize the health of everyone in the building. Please let Maria know if you are interested and she can share more information and help you set up a shift. Maria’s contact: mpederson@peopleservingpeople.org

Fourth Generation is back!

This year has brought new challenges to our lives and our community, and Fourth Generation is ready to meet them. Fourth Generation is a program of the Minneapolis Foundation and is focused on bringing early to mid-career professionals together to choose and learn about a critical issue impacting the community and then pool donations to provide grants to local organizations tackling the chosen topic. We're preparing for a completely virtual 2020-2021 grantmaking cycle, which will allow us to bring critical support to local nonprofits while safeguarding the health and safety of our members and grantees.

Our kickoff will be Wednesday, September 16th from 6-8 PM. At this kick off meeting, we will choose this year's grantmaking topic, and whoever is in the "room" gets to vote. Our four topics we’ll be voting on are below:

Economic Justice
Homelessness
Digital Inclusion
Civic Engagement
