Join the CVC-TC for the Annual Celebration to be held on Thursday, May 10 at Pinstripes in Edina. This event is an opportunity for those involved in growing volunteerism in our community to spend time with fellow volunteer leaders and showcase the great work of the CVC-TC and its members. We’re looking forward to an exciting morning of networking, inspiration and fun!

We are excited to welcome Amie Miller, Managing Director, Content Development for TPT (Twin Cities PBS) as our keynote speaker! In this role, Amie works across TPT’s content teams to plan and resource initiatives ranging from short-term community engagement efforts to multi-year, story-driven projects like TPT’s recent year-long initiative, Minnesota Remembers Vietnam. Prior to joining TPT in 2015, Amie spent twelve years as an independent consultant in the public media industry, working with stations and networks nationwide to articulate their work in compelling ways and secure resources to support it. She also worked for Public Radio International, where she worked principally with the international news broadcast, The World. She has a particular interest in efforts to measure and communicate the impact of public media – and, specifically, the impact of storytelling. She is also a published author; her memoir She Looks Just Like You was a 2010 Minnesota Book Award finalist. Amie has a Master’s degree from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York and a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University.

We are pleased to have Christina Palladino, lead, night-side reporter for Fox 9, as our emcee. Before coming to Fox 9, Christina most recently worked for WISN 12 News in Milwaukee, where she did a lot of hard news crime and investigative stories. Prior to Wisconsin, Christina worked at WOI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa as their weekend anchor and a multimedia journalist. Christina was born and raised in Boston and in her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and daughter. She also has a passion for volunteering and making an impact in her community and has emceed several events throughout the communities she has lived in.
