Associate Memberships are on a two-year calendar year basis (Jan.-Dec. of the following year). The next application period will be Fall 2021. Associate Memberships are limited to a maximum number of organizations, calculated biennially to reflect a ratio of one nonprofit member for every four corporate members, and decided by a competitive application process. All nonprofit applications are assessed by a review committee that scores on several different variables.

The Board of Directors may, at its discretion, designate community organizations as Partner Members. The invitation is extended by a CVC board member to those organizations that provide expertise and a diverse perspective on community needs, volunteerism trends and practices, and nonprofit governance. Once an invitation is extended, a Partner Member must fill out an application to apply. A Partner Member may be permitted one spot on the Board of Directors and will provide goods or services that will benefit the CVC membership (including, but not limited to programming). This designation will be made for a period of three years and must be approved and renewed in three-year increments.
