Twins Make an Impact Throughout 20th Annual Holiday Week of Giving
The Minnesota Twins brought together players, alumni, employees and partners for their 20th Annual Holiday Week of Giving, a tradition that has become a highlight of the baseball team's offseason. The club kicked off the week with Thrivent and Reading Partners Minnesota, hosting a book fair at a Minneapolis elementary school where each student got to pick out two new books to keep. Hall of Famer and Twins legend Bert Blyleven, current players Kody Funderburk and Alan Roden and T.C. Bear joined Twins front office volunteers to read to the kids and help them pick out their books. On Wednesday, the Twins hosted their annual Home For The Holidays event with Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, connecting homeless veterans to housing, employment, healthcare and more. The team wrapped up the week by partnering with Target to host a holiday party at Gillette Children's complete with live reindeer, gifts, games, and room visits from Twins icons past and present—Justin Morneau, Royce Lewis, and Luke Keaschall. From reading to students to serving meals to doing crafts with hospital patients, Twins volunteers spent the week bringing support and joy to members of our community.

Thank You for Supporting Second Harvest Heartland
2025 was a challenging and ever-changing year in hunger relief with continued high prices, reductions in SNAP benefits and a government shutdown impacting thousands. Through it all there was also hope that whatever was put in front of us, we could continue to meet the need in our community with the support of our volunteers and partners. Thank you to our partner corporations and thousands of their employees for joining us at Second Harvest Heartland in ending hunger together!
