PANEL Eric J. Jolly, Ph.D. - PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Saint Paul & Minnesota foundations In his role as president and chief executive officer of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations, Eric J. Jolly, Ph.D., continues his lifelong work to educate, elevate and give voice to people in his communities. The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations match donors’ charitable resources with community-led solutions. Jolly began leading the Foundations in August 2015 and is forging meaningful, lasting partnerships with donors and members of the community to create a stronger, healthier and more equitable Minnesota. Before joining the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations, Jolly was president of the Science Museum of Minnesota for a decade. Jolly came to Saint Paul after serving as vice president and senior scientist at the Education Development Center in Massachusetts. Before that he worked as a professor and administrative leader in successive academic roles. Jolly serves on a number of local and national boards, including the Bush Foundation, Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology and Greater MSP. Jolly is a member of honor societies, including Sigma Xi, Phi Eta Sigma, Mortarboard and Golden Key. He is also a life member of the Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science. R.T. Rybak – CEO & PRESIDENT MINNEAPOLIS FOUNDATION A Minneapolis native, R.T. raised his family and has worked his entire career in the city. He is currently the CEO & President of the Minneapolis Foundation. Previously he was the Executive Director of Generation Next, a public-private coalition focused on closing education gaps for children of color. During his 12 years as Mayor of Minneapolis, Rybak led efforts in economic development, affordable housing, and transportation. He also partnered with The Minneapolis Foundation on a community-wide effort to prevent youth violence. As mayor, he claims the launch of the STEP-UP summer jobs program, which has employed 27,000 young people, as his proudest achievement. Previously, he worked in journalism, marketing, commercial real estate, and Internet strategy. A graduate of Boston College with a degree in Political Science and Communications, he is the author of “Pothole Confidential,” a book about his 12 years as Mayor. Rybak also chairs the Destination Medical Center that oversees the $4.5B redevelopment of Rochester with the Mayo Clinic. Additionally, he serves on the Boards of the Northside Achievement Zone, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation and Greater MSP. Reba Dominski – CHIEF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY OFFICER AND PRESIDENT U.S. BANK FOUNDAITON U.S. Bancorp Experience Reba joined U.S. Bancorp in June of 2015 as the President of the U.S. Bank Foundation and SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility. In 2017, she was promoted to Chief Social Responsibility Officer. Reba leads U.S. Bank community efforts to maximize community, employee and business impact. She leads the teams supporting the U.S. Bank Foundation, volunteerism, environmental sustainability, community investment, community relations and community development. Reba was with Target Corporation for 21 years serving in a variety of roles, including Divisional in Sourcing and Director of Merchandise Planning. Most recently, she was a Senior Director of Community Relations, where she was responsible for leading Target’s Education Initiatives. Reba led Target’s efforts to give $1 Billion to education focused on improving literacy rates, providing schools with the resources they need and helping to close the opportunity gap in America. Reba co-chairs the Leadership Council of Generation Next, served on the Super Bowl 52 Legacy Fund Advisory Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for Pollen Midwest and the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Ms. Dominski earned her B.A. in English and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan. Reba is actively involved in the community and is a wife and mother of two children, ages sixteen and eighteen. Trent Blain – INTERIM PRESIDENT AND CEO GREATER TWIN CITIES UNITED WAY Trent oversees United Way’s team responsible for driving the organization’s brand, product marketing, volunteerism, events and marketing and communications services. Beginning in July 2018, Trent will also serve as interim CEO for Greater Twin Cities United Way. In this role, he will partner with the Board of Directors and staff to serve our community and advance United Way’s Long Range Plan and strategic priorities. Prior to joining the team at United Way, Trent worked at General Mills for 23 years, serving in several different Marketing and General Management roles for the company. He received his Bachelors in Business from Indiana University and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. A passionate community supporter, Trent also serves on the Board of Directors for Beyond Walls Minnesota and is a mentor in the business community through the Menttium Corporation. Prior to this, he served on the boards of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery. Originally from Cincinnati, Trent and his wife Heidi call Minneapolis home. Outside of work, Trent enjoys biking, golf, dining out, Vikings games, DIY yardwork and spending time with friends and family.
