Celebrate Juneteenth
Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans that originated in Galveston, Texas.
The 2023 CVC-TC Annual Celebration was held May 11, 2023, at Mendakota Country Club.
Thank you to all those who attended! We had over 80 people attend in person and they were excited to hear from keynote presenter, Dianne Haulcy, President and CEO of The Family Partnership.

Spring Yardwork & Gardening
We are looking for small groups of 3-9 people to help with spring yard & garden clean-up and planting at each of our 36 homes. We’ll match you with a location close to you. Scheduled times are two (2) hours, and dates & times are fairly flexible for late May through early June. If you have questions or are interested in participating email [email protected] and we’ll make a plan!
HandsOn Twin Cities Pro Bono Advisory Program is hosting a virtual Connected for Change - HR day with nonprofits and community volunteers.
Teams tackle HR related challenges and co-create solutions to address the needs of the organizations. The following timeline is used for finding projects and staffing the volunteer teams:

We have an awesome volunteer opportunity with BestPrep for their annual summer camp, Minnesota Business Venture, hosted at the University of St. Thomas.
A few of the CVC Board Members are attending the Points of Light Conference in Chicago, IL from June 14-16, 2023.

During the February 27, 2023, Annual Meeting of the Corporate Volunteerism Council – Twin Cities, members were presented with the proposed 2023 budget and board slate for approval.
Attendee and non-attendee members were emailed to also have the opportunity to vote via an online survey.
Throughout the month of April, join us in celebrating Global Volunteer Month - an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities.

Members of CVC gathered on Friday, February 10, 2023, to volunteer at Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park.
The morning started off with networking, free coffee and donuts and in person conversation which was welcomed by all. The group then started their volunteer experience by learning more about hunger and the needs in MN. Did you know 1 in 11 kids don’t have regular access to the nutrition needed to thrive?
