CVC-TC corporate member companies mentored over 2,500 Minnesota high school students through BestPrep’s Cloud Coach and eMentors programs last school year.
This year, the impact is expected to be even greater as BestPrep adds an 8th high school to their Cloud Coach program. In the coming months, Humboldt High School 9th graders will be exploring their interests and preparing for their futures with support from UnitedHealth Group and Best Buy volunteer mentors.
For the final event of ECMC Group’s Week of Service, employees volunteered at Feed My Starving Children.
Because it was the start of MEA weekend, employee's children were encouraged to join!

Fall Clean-up Yardwork
Dish is Second Harvest Heartland’s premier gala, which plays a crucial role in our mission to end hunger. The 20th annual event is planned for Saturday, October 14 at The Depot in Minneapolis.
We invite you to be a special part of this memorable event by volunteering your time for one or more shifts. Volunteers at Dish will offer support in a variety of ways, from venue setup and silent auction organization to guest engagement and merchandise packing.
Volunteering for the Minnesota Homeless Study is a unique volunteer opportunity centered on the experiences of the people being interviewed. The participation of adults and youth experiencing homelessness gives voice and substance to the reality of homelessness in our state and helps planners, funders, and advocates in their efforts to find solutions.
By volunteering as an interviewer, you can shine a light on homelessness in Minnesota. Volunteer for a 4-hour shift on Thursday, October 26.

Connected for Change: Marketing Day volunteer recruitment opens August 7, 2023!
Multiple nonprofits are seeking support through HandsOn Twin Cities’ Connected for Change: Marketing Day. Volunteers can review all the marketing projects and sign up for a volunteer spot at HandsOnTwinCities.org starting August 7 and through August 28, 2023.
On July 11, nearly 150 high school students from across Minnesota learned how to interview for a job.
Join Second Harvest Heartland for a Community Conversation on Food Justice Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 5-7pm at Forgotten Star Brewing in Fridley. You can find us on the back patio! The event is open to the entire community - invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to this conversation. Kids and pups welcome.
Second Harvest Heartland is currently exploring ways in which we can amplify sustainability as part of our core operations and mine new sustainability ideas that we can potentially deploy.
We are looking for a volunteer with a background in sustainability planning, measurement and evaluation to join us for an 8-10 week/20-30-hour pro bono project.

Join us for networking, drinks, and the third of our quarterly discussions of the book Transforming Disruption to Impact: Rethinking Volunteer Engagement for a Rapidly Changing World by Doug Bolton, Beth Steinhorn, Jerome Tennille, and Craig Young.

Land O’Lakes employees engaged in their annual Week of Service, June 12-June 16, 2023.
Throughout the week, 322 employees engaged in volunteer activities such as crafting superhero capes for youth, packing mental health and hygiene kits for LGBTQ+ community, donating blood via Red Cross blood drive, creating iSpy jars assisted living residents, and virtually supported students through a business competition.
